“Shadowlands” is a “world much like our own but with paranormal occurrences”. It is an anthology of three separate stories that explores the meaning of love. These include a couple renegotiating a relationship, a narcissist trying to comprehend love and star-crossed lovers mourning the loss of love.

In “Narcissus” set in 1928, we meet Alex (Sean C. Dwyer), a plastic surgeon who is determined to achieve perfection. He has a a house party with quite an assortment of colorful guests. Alex realizes that he, himself, is the only person he is really interested in.


In “Mating Season” it is 1951 and we meet a gay military couple exploring the idea of opening their relationship while on a remote camping trip when they come across a mysterious stranger. In “Pygmalion Revisited” we move forward to 2018 when a painter, who is mourning the loss of his lover, becomes obsessed with creating a realistic painting of him. That creation is so beautiful and life-like that he is drawn under its spell.

The series is directed by Charlie David who also plays Rudy.
