A Look at Seventeenth Century America

“The Peruke Maker” is a screenplay inspired by true events. It deals with ancient and evil practices that go against the natural events of the world. Bridget Cane is beautiful with red hair and as she embarks on an emotional and spiritual journey in the 17th century, her story becomes bound with the story of another woman, Sarah who lives in the 21st century. It seems that the curse of Thomas Cane continues.

Sarah is a time traveler and she has visions of Bridget whose life is set during the time of the Salem witch trials. As the story continues we see that there is something that the two women share. To say anymore would ruin an exciting read but it is enough to say that the complexities of the past and the future come together against the backdrop of good and evil and we become witness to evil and sense the vulnerability of the human condition.

This is a screenplay that will keep you turning pages as fast as you can and the author has done a wonderful job in telling her story.
