Getting Your Kink On
“50 Shades of Grey” brought kink out of the closet and made us curious about BDSM and sexuality. BDSM is, of course, not a new topic. There have always been novels with BDSM themes but it actually took years for us to find them acceptable reading. Reading about fictional accounts of dominance and submission, power and lust, pleasure and pain, hot sex and incredible orgasms was until recently quite a private thing so it is fine that we now have a nonfiction account that shows us how to make our fantasies become realities. Some of the things we learn about here include techniques and creative ideas for bondage, spanking, flogging, sensation play, how to eroticize power, cultivate deeper connections and incorporate kink into your sex life, role-playing fantasies from the popular to the taboo, the language of kink (more than just safe words) and more.
Author Tristan Taormino, an award-winning author, columnist, editor, filmmaker, and sex educator knows what she is writing about and wants to make sure we enjoy the pleasures she has to offer. “She is the author of seven books, including Opening Up: A Guide to Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships and The Ultimate Guide to Kink.
