An Erotic Graphic Novel

Amos Lassen

Jon Macy just won the Lambda Literary award for erotica with “Teleny and Camille which is based on the novel “Teleny” which is attributed to Oscar Wilde.

Set in Victorian London, we meet Camille, a wealthy young man who falls in love with a pianist, Teleny. When Teleny plays on stage, he and Camille realize that there is something going on as they share an erotic vision. Camille struggles with his homosexuality and Teleny has many who pursue him. Camille, after seeing visions of Teleny having sex with others, attempts to take his own life and is rescued by Teleny. He gives himself to Camille and Camille works at forgetting that Teleny has achieved fame because women who desire him have also financed him.

The book is filled with explicit sex and very hot romance. Macy gives us a look at underground London and Victorian virtues that are done away with. Macy is a master alternative cartoonist and his erotic drawings are wonderful. He is able to capture romance and decadence as well as a fascinating story. Everything here is perfect and Macy certainly deserves the award that he won.

Thank you Amos, I’m still a little sun burned from all the high wattage super genius writers that were there. It was a gorgeous event and a huge honor. Thank you for the mention I really appreciate it. J
