A Comedy about Dark and Demented Unrequited Love
Otto (David Ryan Kopcych) is totally in love with his neighbor Patty (Lindsey Elisabeth Cork) who just happens to be in love and in a relationship with Hector (Gio Castellano). However, Otto is sure that their relationship is abusive since he hears them fighting all of the time. Hector eventually kills Patty and bolts as Otto watches it all. Otto then decides that he can finally have his way with Patty. Some of you may be surprised when I tell you that this is a comedy especially after reading my very short synopsis. Once you see the film, you’ll understand what I mean.
From the moment the 17-minute film begins, there is a sense of evilness and apprehension and this continues throughout the film. Director Nathan Suher pulls us in immediately and I was just not sure how to react to what I saw. The film plays with the viewer’s imagination and I see the film as proof of what a director can do.
