“YBOR CITY”— A Gay Intergenerational Film
“Ybor City”
A Gay Intergenerational Film
Amos Lassen
Dan Steadman (“Red Lodge”) brings us a new film about a young documentarian traces the sexual history of several Florida seniors, learning what it meant to grow up gay in the past 70 years. I got a chance to watch it the other night but I am ready yet to write a full review. I will but right now the film is trying to break into the festival circuit and I do not want to jinx it. I will say that I totally enjoyed it and wanted to let you know to be on the lookout for it.
It stars Steve O. Van Wie, Rocky Thompson, Josh Paul, Edwin Martinez, Jonathan Mitchell, Marco Reino, Walter Presha Jr, Ulises Hunter, Michael Ivan Navarro, Adam Pate, Lazaro Vales and was written and directed by Dan Steadman.
