The Men of Boystown Are Back

There is something very addictive about “Boystown” and if you have any of the episodes, you know what I mean. I think this is probably due to the fact that the series is not realistic; it is totally honest in its portrayal of gay life today. Director Ricky Reidling has created something of which he can be really proud. (He is also the producer, screenwriter and editor as well as star of the series).

There is something for everyone here: love, romance, drama, sex, jealousy and so on. Secrets are exposed and hidden romances come to the fore.

Episode 3 is “Hello and Goodbye” and here we learn that there are secret romances and playing around going on. The guys have to learn with the death of one of their own and there is also a little male hustler that seems to have ties with everyone in one form or another.

In episode 4 “Moving On” we learn about what happens after the funeral and if and how these guys will rebuild their lives.

I can’t say anymore except to urge you to see the series. Then we can compare notes and try to figure out what the next predicament will be. If I have a problem here, it is that I will have to wait to find out what happens next. I just want to mention the names of the terrific cast members—Reidling, J. Hunter Ackerman, Jesse Sean Atkinson, Albertossy Espinoza, Chace Farguson, Jim Patneaude and Peter Welkin.
