“ECUADOR: RAINFOREST VS. GLOBALIZATION”
In 2006, Rafael Correa was elected president of Ecuador and he immediately began to transform the country. He got rid of the old and out of date structures and introduced social and ecological reform as well as democracy and was able to protect the rainforest through the Yasuni Initiative. Oil reserves were protected and the people of Ecuador learned to accept the new. This documentary contains interviews with Correa as well wit member of his cabinet and leaders of the opposition. This is quite a look of a country that was turned in the right direction by its new president.
